Leading resistance groups have joined to present the People’s State of the Union, "a hopeful, public alternative to Trump’s State of the Union speech" on Tuesday. The Facebook page says the celebrity-studded event "will celebrate the remarkable growth and success of the Resistance Movement and outline a plan of action for the coming year -- focusing on voter rights, voter registration, and voter turnout."  The event will be livestreamed at peoplessotu.org. To attend in person, use the code "LETSWIN" on Ticketmaster.

Buy "Fire and Fury" to Support Immigrants, Voting Rights

The Astoria Bookshop in Queens has pledged to donate all profits from today's sales of Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House by Michael Wolff to the Voting Rights Institute and the New York Immigration Coalition.  If you can't go in person, copies can be ordered for purchase via phone or from the bookshop's website.

"cover everything 45 should be kicked out of office for -- sexual assault, emoluments violations, systematically attacking the press, destructive racism and racist policy, obstruction of justice, destroying the environment for greed."
