Four Freedoms Democratic Club Endorsement Meeting

The club will be endorsing candidates for Civil Court, State Committee, Judicial Delegate, and Alternate Judicial Delegate. Only members may participate in the endorsement, but anyone may attend in order to learn more about the candidates.

Make Arrangements to Canvass for Liuba in New York's District 2
At last week's meeting, New York State Senator Liz Krueger and Assemblymember Dan Quart spoke about the effectiveness of face-to-face meetings with voters via canvassing. Indivisible UES members have an opportunity to canvass on behalf of Liuba Grechen Shirley, who is running in the Democratic primary in New York's District 2 for U.S. Representative. The winner of the primary will be running against Republican Peter King. Help turn the House blue, and send an email to inquire about joining the canvassing taking place this weekend.

Activist groups Friends of the Earth U.S., Food and Water Watch NY, Rise and Resist invite you to join them for a petition delivery to Senators Schumer and Gillibrand. This is part of a national action on the day of EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt's Congressional hearing with the Senate. Over 230,000 petition signatures will be delivered to Congressional offices across the county. Join the group to make it clear that you will not stand for a corrupt, anti-science career politician to be leading the Environmental Protection Agency.

Rise and Resist continues the fight against the normalization of an incompetent, dangerous president with a protest outside Trump International Hotel & Tower at Columbus Circle. Several members of the House have already introduced articles of impeachment. We don't have to wait for Mueller to lay down the law. Rise and Resist will be bringing signs, chants, and energy. Join them!
