MEET THE WOMEN CANDIDATES FOR NYC MAYOR
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

There are three women running for mayor this year (Dianne Morales, Maya Wiley, and Kathryn Garcia). Find out more about them and how well their views and proposed policies match your own.  Hosted by Downtown Women for Change.

Tuesday, May 4
PHONE BANK FOR THE PEOPLE
7-9 PM

The For The People Act (HR1/S1) will only pass if people like you and me are willing to take action. Make calls to voters in key states and help pass this groundbreaking democracy bill using a predictive dialer (Hubdialer).

You’ll get all the tools and training you need to call voters in target districts -- asking them to contact their senators who will make the difference between success and failure.

Wednesday, May 5th
NYC ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION FORUM
6-7 PM ET

Chat with NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos,  who was instrumental in the passage of the state's nation-leading climate change law, the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, and now serves as the co-chair of its implementing body, the Climate Action Council.

OR

CANCEL STUDENT DEBT
8-9 PM

When I went to college, back in the Jurassic era, my middle class family with one breadwinner could afford to send me to college and emerge with very little debt.  Not any more.  Costs have skyrocketed, and financial aid has not kept up.  Students are left with crippling debt they cannot repay no matter how hard they work.  Let’s make sure President Biden does something about this.  It will boost the economy, help close the racial wealth gap, and allow students to move on to start families and buy homes.

Hosted by Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, New York Public Interest Research Group, Student Debt Crisis, New York Working Families Party, and One NYS Indivisible – with lead House sponsors Representative Jamaal Bowman, Representative Mondaire Jones, and Representative Ritchie Torres.
