We'll be discussing our Voting and Environmental Committees, getting your input, and getting started. We need your input in these areas:

Indivisible Upper East Side Voting Committee
NY State's election laws might be better than elsewhere, but there are still many issues that need to be addressed, including the pending NYS John Lewis Voting Rights Act, access to polling places, disability and language assistance, improving the effectiveness of the NYC Board of Elections, and more.
Indivisible Upper East Side Environmental Committee
The legislative session ending on June 2nd provides the opportunity to pass meaningful bills to tackle climate change, such as the All-Electric Building Act, even though the governor and legislators failed to pass the state budget with strong environmental protections.

Speak Out with Citizen Action CNY and the Church of the Village via Zoom or at the Utica Public Library Gallery
New York State is facing a housing crisis. Citizen Action CNY and the Church of the Village are sponsoring a Speak Out to advocate for our housing agenda. They will be bringing together upstate and downstate people to fight in solidarity for affordable and quality housing, eviction protection, and tenant rights. Share your story, build with the community, and learn from speakers on solutions to the current crisis. The event will be streamed live on the Citizen Action FB page as well as on Zoom - register and look out for the link in your email!
