Actions for Week of June 19, 2022
We’ll help you navigate the new rules
Because of New York State’s redistricting debacle, the primary election schedule is very confusing. We are trying to clarify below.
June 18 through June 26th: Early Voting for Primary Election Day
June 28 is the Primary Election Day for the offices of
• Governor
• Lieutenant Governor
• State Assembly
• Judges
• Party Positions
-Absentee ballots have new rules. They must have a postmark no later than June 28th, or can be brought to a poll site by 9pm. NOTE: If you have applied for an absentee ballot, you may not cast a ballot on a voting machine for that election. However, you can complete an affidavit ballot (on paper) as late as Election Day; those ballots will be kept separate until the election is completed.

This 1-hour webinar will discuss the historic blockade of the UN 40 years ago and plans today for the use of nonviolent direct action to help rid the world of all nuclear weapons. Closely following on the million-person June 12 antinuclear rally in Central Park in 1982, these determined activists took their demands directly to the nations threatening the world with their nuclear weapons, with 1,700 arrested, 1,000 by the US.
Hear about the protest plans for this August during the UN Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty Conference. A NYC Extinction Rebellion activist will introduce their nonviolent direct action trainings to save our planet.
