Shock, but no Surprise, and We Can't Quit!

Actions for Week of June 26, 2022

We have to keep fighting for our rights!

We are all furious about the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v Wade, especially since the Mississippi lawsuit was only about the fifteen-week term in its law. We will give updates about actions to take as they are announced.

In the meantime, here's what you can do now.

FOR THOSE OF YOU IN THE HAMPTONS:
Monday, June 27th, 5:30pm

Don’t forget to vote!
Primary election day for the offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Assembly, Judges, and Party Positions.

Remember: there are new absentee ballot procedures that apply to 2022 and future elections, as a result of changes in state law. If you have applied for a paper ballot you can’t cast a vote in a machine. But you can vote in person by completing an affidavit ballot at the poll site during early voting or on election day.

Find both your early voting and primary sites HERE

Friday, July 1, 7-8pm EDT
Abortion Access National Text Bank

Virtual event hosted by Supermajority
Join Supermajority for a text bank into Michigan. We will be contacting women ahead of their primary in August. Michigan is one of Supermajority's five target states this election cycle. Michigan has dangerous trigger language on the books that may make abortion inaccessible in the state if folks don't turn out to vote. Right now there is an opportunity to get an initiative on the ballot that would protect access to abortion and with the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, it's increasingly important that we do everything we can do make sure that Michiganders engage and in their primary. Staff will be on hand to train you if you need it.
